God wants you to prosper
If you have confessed Jesus as your Lord and savior, you are a candidate for a prosperous life. In Exodus 3:7, God told Moses that he had seen his people in their misery and heard their cry and had come to rescue them.

Do away with old mindsets inimical to success and prosperity
2 Corinthians 5:17 says in Christ, the old creation is done away with and the new one has come. As a Christian you have the right to live a prosperous life. it is not the will of God that you live in poverty, lack and barely able to make ends meet. Poverty is a form of slavery. It is like leprosy—it is very infections. Hence, we must do away with the old—its mindsets, attitudes and beliefs and embrace the new. God desires to take you into financial increase. These are foundational things I want you to adopt.

Hold on to the word of God
Peter Grandich says the Bible is an excellent financial advisor whether or not you are religious. Getting acquainted with your Bible is indispensable in becoming prosperous.
The Bible generally has four P’s: promises, principles, proverbs, and prophecies. We must apply the principles to succeed.

Lessons from Conrad Hilton
The first businessman we want to learn from is Conrad Hilton. He was born in 1887 and established Hilton Hotels in 1946. It now has about 6,000 hotels worldwide worth a little under $10 billion. I want us to look at some of the things he said.

1. Prepare yourself for inconvenience. No matter how well you prepare, there will always be problems but you must overcome them.
2. Don’t quit. Success seems to be connected to action. Successful men keep moving. They make mistakes but they don’t quit.
3. Learn patience. When you plant acorns, the full-fledged oak may take years to grow.
4. Never worry. Worrying has never solved anything yet. Prayer, thought, action—yes. Just worrying, no!

Lessons from Richard DeVos
Another businessman we want to learn from is Richard M. DeVos, the founder of Amway. He said the following:

5. Believe it is possible. The only thing that stands between a man and what he wants is the will to try and the faith to believe that it is possible. So, when the idea comes, try it.
6. Be determined. The one quality that is most correlated with success in any field is persistent determination.
7. Sometimes success is disguised as hard work. Work very hard.
8. Make the right choices. Each person’s destiny is not a matter of chance but of choice—what you say, what you do, and whom you trust.
9. Character is everything.

Lessons from David Green
The third businessman we want to lean from is David Green. He is the founder of Hobby Lobby and a great giver to Christian causes. He has said the following:

11. People matter—focus on them more than money. This includes your customers and employees.

Lessons from Strive Masiyiwa
The fourth businessman we want to lean form is Strive Masiyiwa. He said the following:

13. Be curious about everything. You can only find opportunities if you are looking for them.
14. Reading is powerful. The capacity to read is indispensable. Read the budget; read about government programs and all that. Find out what is happening and where the money is.
15. God is ever faithful. The God of Moses is alive and he wants to use you to change the world.
